Lot of 3 Christopher Morrison Art Glass Vase Tumblers Bellingham, WA
From Christopher Morrison's bio at WWU:
"My professional artistic journey began at Hartwick College (Oneonta, NY). There I studied glass making and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. Subsequently, I expanded my skills through ongoing studies at Pilchuck Glass School and working as Dale Chihuly’s assistant and technician. Desiring to share my knowledge and experience, I began instructing glass blowing at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle in 1992. I then went on to pioneer the educational program at Seattle Glassblowing Studio.
Since in Bellingham, I have built my own glassblowing studio; participated in trade shows; completed several commissioned pieces in private and public locations; served on the Whatcom Art Museum Board of Directors, Bellingham Arts Commission, and Western Washington University’s College of Fine and Performing Arts Advisory Board; and received the Mayor’s Arts Award and a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, PA."
These glasses are about 6" tall each. Artist is now retired and no longer producing work. Some slight wear as to be expected with age and use. The artist's signature can be seen a the bottom of each glass.
These would be a great collection addition (or gift) for anyone who collects local Bellingham artworks, or for anyone who does fine glass arts.
