Historical First National Doll Show - New York City - Nat'l Doll and Toys Collector's Club - C. 1930
Beautiful piece from 1930's. Poster advertising the first National Doll Show being held in New York City. The doll show went on for almost a full month, operating 9a-5p Sunday-Saturday and stayed open until 9p on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This doll show also held the First National Doll Contest, inviting people with cute, funny, pretty or unusual dolls to enter for a chance at a prize.
We were not able to find anything to compare this to, and it may possibly be a 1-of-1. Awesome piece of history for collectibles and dolls especially. In good shape considering age, looks like some possible water damage, the corners are tattered. Would make a beautiful wall piece for a doll enthusiast!
