20th Century Needlepoint of Remembrance for Soldier of SMS Kaiser-Franz Jospehi - Kina, Japan 1905-1909
This is a remembrance piece for an Austria-Hungarian Naval soldier who had been stationed on the SMS Kaiser-Franz Josephi and it's excursion to Kina, Japan from 1905-1909. The Naval Officer's name was Petar Dracojevic, and his photograph is included in the piece.
The needlework on this piece is spectacular. The top of the piece reads: "A memory of the power of travel" in Croatian.
The emblem of the Austria-Hungary Navy is depicted in fine detail with exquisite life and color.
